Join an early-stage AI technology company focused on healthcare education and simulation. As a Founding Engineer, you will work directly with founders to solve customer problems, build product features, and manage technical support for university clients.
The position starts with handling technical support and building internal automations, gradually transitioning into full-stack product development as processes become more efficient.
What you'll do
- Own technical customer support for AI avatar simulations and LMS products
- Diagnose and resolve issues reported by professors and students
- Manage customer communication via email, calls, and support channels
- Build automations and internal tools to improve operational efficiency
- Design, develop, test, and ship product features for users
- Translate customer needs into technical solutions
- Contribute to architecture and AI-agent-driven workflows
What you'll need
- 0-4 years of full-stack engineering experience
- Experience in founding teams or early-stage startups
- Strong full-stack software development skills
- Ability to work independently on ambiguous problems
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Availability to work in person 5 days per week in New York
- Strong communication skills for direct customer interaction
Nice to have
- Experience at YC-backed or promising early-stage startups
- Background in EdTech or university environments
- Experience with AI-powered products or agent workflows
- Degree from a strong technical university
- Experience building internal tools or customer-facing software
