Join the 10x Team as a fractional CISO to support fast-scaling European organizations in regulated environments. You will design institutional-grade security frameworks that align with business growth and enterprise expectations rather than managing reactive security tasks.
This position is part of a selective leadership bench where you may be deployed to various high-growth technology environments. The focus is on executing repeatable security engines that transform fragmented efforts into auditable, scalable platforms.
What you'll do
- Design enterprise-grade information security strategies aligned with business goals
- Implement risk-based security governance frameworks
- Integrate security-by-design into product and engineering workflows
- Conduct threat modelling and establish risk assessment structures
- Create security control designs and maturity roadmaps
- Develop incident response frameworks and breach escalation protocols
- Manage vendor and third-party risk programs
- Prepare organizations for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications
- Ensure alignment with EU regulations like NIS2 and DORA
- Build security performance dashboards for board-level reporting
- Translate technical risks into business impact for executives
What you'll need
- Seven or more years in cybersecurity leadership roles
- Proven track record designing security programs in scaling environments
- Deep knowledge of risk management and control frameworks
- Experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and enterprise customer requirements
- Ability to operate effectively at executive and board levels
- Strong technical fluency combined with strategic judgment
- Execution-focused mindset
