Join an early-stage team developing a surgical copilot that assists doctors in the operating room through real-time device pairing and AI. You will design user-facing interfaces and visualization tools for clinicians while establishing reusable front-end patterns for the engineering team.
What you'll do
- Design and ship user interfaces for operating room devices and internal tools
- Build visualization tools for surgical video and medical imaging data
- Establish reusable components and front-end patterns for the team
- Connect applications to APIs and real-time data streams from edge devices
- Improve reliability and responsiveness for high-stakes data handling
- Contribute to regulatory-grade documentation and traceability standards
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent demonstrated experience
- 2+ years of professional front-end software development experience
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript with React, Vue, or Angular
- Strong grasp of component architecture, state management, and responsive UI
- Experience integrating front-end apps with APIs and backend services
- Professional experience with Python or Python-based backend systems
- Track record of solving difficult technical problems in high-performing environments
- Comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time data, video, or scientific visualization
- Familiarity with WebGL or Three.js libraries
- Knowledge of desktop frameworks like Electron, Tauri, or Qt
- Exposure to medical devices or regulated healthcare software environments
