You will lead architectural decisions and implement complex frontend features for Wayflyer’s financing platform. Working with product and design teams, you will create effortless user experiences that help e-commerce brands manage funding.
This position requires owning end-to-end delivery, from shaping solutions to monitoring production performance. You will also mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive improvements in accessibility and system scalability.
What you'll do
- Provide technical leadership in architectural decisions and frontend standards
- Design and implement complex features using TypeScript and React
- Partner with product and design teams to define intuitive user experiences
- Own end-to-end delivery including testing, shipping, and monitoring
- Mentor engineers and conduct thorough code reviews
- Drive improvements in performance, accessibility, and user experience
- Identify and address technical debt and scalability challenges
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience with deep expertise in frontend development
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, React, and modern frontend architectures
- Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and performance optimization
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs and state management via TanStack Query
- Experience contributing to and working with design systems
- Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers
Nice to have
- Familiarity with backend technologies like Python and Django
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub Actions
- Knowledge of testing tools such as Storybook, Playwright, and Vitest
- Background in financial services, fintech, or B2B organizations
