Join the Business Applications team at Thumbtack to expand internal systems into a broader platform for AI-enabled work. You will build shared APIs and reusable integration patterns that allow business teams to safely configure, review, and correct AI agent actions. The goal is to turn complex operational needs into software that is easy to run, extend, and automate responsibly.
What you'll do
- Design interfaces for configuring agents and reviewing their work
- Build observability tools to track agent success and failure
- Develop features end-to-end from frontend to backend services
- Partner with business teams to translate operational needs into software
- Own the full lifecycle including monitoring and post-launch improvements
What you'll need
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong frontend skills with React and TypeScript
- Experience with complex application state and data-dense interfaces
- Solid backend engineering ability in Go, PHP, or Python
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational data stores like Postgres
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver in evolving environments
