Join the Business Applications team at Thumbtack to expand internal systems into an AI-enabled platform. You will build shared APIs and reusable integration patterns that allow business teams to safely configure, review, and correct AI agent actions. Your work will turn complex operational needs into reliable software that supports critical business functions.
What you'll do
- Design interfaces for configuring agents and reviewing their actions
- Build observability tooling to track agent success and failure
- Develop features end-to-end from frontend to backend services
- Partner with business teams to translate operational needs into software
- Own the full lifecycle including monitoring and post-launch improvements
What you'll need
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong frontend skills with React and TypeScript
- Solid backend engineering ability in Go, PHP, or Python
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational data stores like Postgres
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver in evolving environments
- Interest in designing for uncertainty and human correction in AI systems
