Join WellTheory as an engineer focused on resolving technical issues for members and care teams. You will identify root causes, implement permanent fixes, and reduce ticket volume through automation and better tooling.
You will work across the member app, clinical tools, and internal data pipelines. This position reports to the Co-Founder and CPO within a small, senior engineering group.
What you'll do
- Triage incoming issues by assessing impact and reproducing errors
- Investigate root causes using logs and code analysis
- Implement fixes for critical problems and upstream bugs
- Maintain a backlog of recurring issues for durable solutions
- Create runbooks, alerts, and automations to reduce manual work
- Handle member data with strict confidentiality and care
What you'll need
- At least four years of software engineering experience
- Fluency in TypeScript and JavaScript
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on business impact
- Strong communication skills for clear updates to users
- Current US work authorization is required
- Comfortable working in a fully remote environment
Nice to have
- Experience in support, sustaining, or forward-deployed engineering
- Background in building internal tools or bots
- Knowledge of healthcare or autoimmune conditions
- History of overcoming significant personal or professional challenges
