As a Web Development Expert, you will assess the fidelity of AI-generated web pages by comparing them against reference designs. Your work helps improve model evaluation and code generation capabilities through precise, evidence-based feedback.
What you'll do
- Render reference pages and candidate replications for comparison
- Judge visual fidelity including spacing, typography, and colors
- Analyze source code to grade construction quality and correctness
- Test responsiveness and identify viewport-specific defects
- Write detailed, evidence-cited justifications for every preference
- Distinguish between broken tasks and merely difficult challenges
What you'll need
- 3-8 years of professional frontend or full-stack web development experience
- Expertise in hand-written HTML and CSS, including legacy layouts
- Proficiency with Browser Dev Tools and command-line interfaces
- Ability to read JavaScript and understand its DOM impact
- Professional written English skills for task justification
- Fluency across web eras, from table-based to modern grid layouts
Nice to have
- Experience with RLHF, preference-labeling, or model evaluation
- Pixel-perfect design-to-code implementation skills
- Accessibility expertise including ARIA and semantic landmarks
- Familiarity with common LLM failures in code generation
- Background in web scraping, archiving, or DOM parsing
- Previous completion of Mercor projects
