Cohere is looking for a policy expert to shape discussions around compute infrastructure, national competitiveness, and sovereign AI deployment. You will analyze geopolitical technology issues and support strategic public-private partnerships.
The position requires deep understanding of AI infrastructure, energy policy, and digital sovereignty. You will represent the company in high-level policy discussions and produce thought leadership on emerging trends.
What you'll do
- Monitor developments in AI infrastructure, energy, and semiconductor policy
- Develop policy positions on sovereign AI and digital sovereignty
- Engage with governments on AI infrastructure investment programs
- Collaborate with commercial teams on public-private partnerships
- Represent Cohere in policy discussions on technology competitiveness
- Produce analysis and thought leadership on AI infrastructure trends
What you'll need
- 5–7 years experience in public or technology policy
- Strong understanding of geopolitical tech issues and export controls
- Ability to assess policy developments for business implications
- Excellent analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
Nice to have
- Experience with semiconductors or cloud infrastructure policy
- Familiarity with government AI investment programs
- Background in energy policy or telecommunications
- Knowledge of international technology policy frameworks
