Join the Governance, Risk, and Compliance team at Forward Financing, a fintech company dedicated to unlocking capital for small businesses. You will drive the third-party risk management program, maintain security policies, and assist with annual compliance audits.
The position offers a remote-first setup with opportunities for in-person collaboration. You will leverage AI tools to automate routine tasks and enhance process efficiency while fostering a culture of security awareness.
What you'll do
- Manage third-party risk assessments including vendor due diligence and monitoring
- Collaborate with teams to create and maintain security policies and standards
- Conduct risk analysis to identify, evaluate, and track organizational risks
- Support annual SOC2 audits by gathering evidence and coordinating with stakeholders
- Utilize AI and machine learning tools to automate GRC processes
- Conduct internal audits of systems and operational processes
- Promote security and risk awareness through clear communication
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field
- 1-2+ years of experience in GRC, risk, or compliance roles
- Experience with third-party vendor risk management and due diligence
- Familiarity with creating or maintaining security policies and procedures
- Understanding of risk assessment methodologies and evaluation techniques
- Experience supporting compliance audits such as SOC2
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written English communication skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and ask clarifying questions
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AI use cases in business settings
- Solid understanding of AWS or other cloud infrastructure structures
