As a senior individual contributor, you will partner with the Chief Commercial Officer and sales team to transform early client conversations into signed statements of work. Your focus is on defining a repeatable, high-quality process for shaping and winning deals.
You will translate business goals into technical architectures, build defensible proofs of concept, and ensure that the scope of work is both ambitious and deliverable. This position offers significant ownership over how the company scales its commercial operations.
What you'll do
- Partner with sales to qualify opportunities based on fit and feasibility
- Translate client business goals into concrete technical architectures
- Build hands-on proofs of concept to demonstrate value and win deals
- Author clear statements of work with credible effort and pricing estimates
- Codify the pre-sales approach into templates and playbooks for the team
- Identify and fix bottlenecks in the path from opportunity to signed contract
What you'll need
- Deep fluency in LLMs, databases, orchestration tools, and cloud APIs
- Ability to form reasoned opinions on model selection and trade-offs
- Hands-on experience building defensible proofs of concept
- Strong communication skills balancing client needs and commercial interests
- Comfort working in ambiguity within an early-stage company environment
- Natural aptitude for partnering with sales teams to drive ROI
Nice to have
- Prior experience in pre-sales or solutions engineering roles
- Background in consulting or AI services firms
- Experience authoring statements of work and building project estimates
