As Head of Security, you will establish Morpho's security framework, covering infrastructure, supply chain, identity, and counterparty risk. You will personally execute critical technical tasks while hiring and growing a dedicated team. This role requires close collaboration with Engineering and Integration teams to ensure deployment integrity and ecosystem trust.
What you'll do
- Define and evolve security strategy across cloud, infrastructure, and applications
- Build, hire, and lead the security function and team
- Oversee the IT function and maintain hands-on technical involvement
- Manage end-to-end incident response including command and communication
- Establish governance architecture and coherent security frameworks
- Lead certification efforts such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
- Represent security posture to executives and external partners
What you'll need
- 10+ years in security with experience leading security functions
- Background in crypto, web3, fintech, or financial services
- Strong understanding of crypto and web3 threat models
- Proven track record of building security teams from small bases
- Deep technical expertise in cloud, CI/CD, and identity security
- Experience owning incident response and external communication
- Ability to influence outcomes across teams without direct ownership
Nice to have
- Public profile or network in security or crypto communities
- Experience with offensive security or red/blue team capabilities
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations and threat-sharing networks
- Experience guiding organizations through SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certifications
