Nestmed is developing an AI-native operating system for home health agencies, currently used by seven of the ten largest companies in the sector. The team aims to replace disconnected legacy tools with a unified intelligent system that tracks patient visits and outcomes.

As a QA Specialist, you will validate ICD-10 coding and OASIS assessments against clinical records. You will work in an AI-enabled environment, correcting model suggestions and ensuring compliance with CMS guidelines and payer requirements.

What you'll do

  • Complete assigned home health reviews within quota and turnaround time targets
  • Validate ICD-10-CM accuracy, sequencing, and guideline compliance
  • Confirm OASIS responses are clinically supported and consistent with CMS guidance
  • Review high-risk items including functional status, cognition, and wound care
  • Escalate incomplete or contradictory documentation with clear, actionable comments
  • Evaluate AI-generated coding suggestions and report recurring error patterns
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and keep all certifications current

What you'll need

  • Experience reviewing home health charts, including assessments and therapy notes
  • Active or in-progress OASIS certification such as HCS-O or COS-C
  • Current ICD-10-CM coding credential like HCS-D, BCHH-C, CPC, or RHIT
  • Ability to work critically within an AI-assisted workflow
  • Strong written communication skills for clear QA documentation
  • Discipline to escalate issues rather than guessing when data is unclear

How you'll work

  • Fully remote position restricted to candidates located in the United States
  • Hourly contract arrangement with part-time or full-time availability
  • Requires maintaining specific clinical certifications throughout employment

Hiring process

  • Initial knowledge check quiz or assignment
  • Screening call with a recruiter
