Join Nexus as an Infrastructure Engineer to help build and maintain the core infrastructure powering a global Layer 1 blockchain and exchange. You will support distributed systems that handle financial workloads, ensuring reliability and performance from testnet to mainnet.
Working remotely from Argentina or broader LATAM, you will collaborate with senior engineers and protocol teams. This contract role offers the chance to contribute to secure, production-grade systems while learning best practices in observability and secure operations.
What you'll do
- Support deployment and maintenance of distributed infrastructure for L1 blockchain
- Assist in optimizing transaction pipelines for speed and reliability
- Contribute to building secure, production-grade systems meeting performance needs
- Maintain high-availability infrastructure across cloud and distributed environments
- Apply best practices for observability, reliability, and secure operations
What you'll need
- Experience with infrastructure or distributed systems
- Working knowledge of Rust, Go, or another systems language
- Basic understanding of consensus, fault tolerance, and latency
- Hands-on experience with Docker
- Familiarity with Terraform or Pulumi for Infrastructure-as-Code
- Basic experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Good written and spoken Business English
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, or similar observability tools
- Experience running distributed blockchain infrastructure or validator networks
- Knowledge of MEV mitigation or decentralized exchange infrastructure
- Familiarity with zero-knowledge proofs or cryptography
