You will own the iOS client experience, ensuring AI interactions feel responsive and reliable in users' hands. The work involves building a robust application where performance, memory efficiency, and user trust are paramount, moving beyond simple integrations to core product functionality.
The team aims to organize users' lives through intelligent conversations and task completion with minimal prompting. You will collaborate closely with backend and ML engineers to design API behaviors and UX patterns that handle latency and non-deterministic AI responses effectively.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
- Integrate AI-powered features through backend APIs
- Design UX patterns for loading states, streaming, and retries
- Optimize app performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency
- Capture user signals to support AI evaluation and iteration
- Collaborate with backend and ML engineers on API design
- Maintain high App Store quality and production reliability
What you'll need
- 3+ years of iOS development experience using Swift
- Hands-on experience integrating AI features into mobile apps
- Strong understanding of async/await and concurrency
- Solid skills in iOS performance and memory optimization
- Experience shipping and maintaining production iOS apps
- Comfort designing for latency and partial failure scenarios
- Strong intuition for AI UX patterns and user trust
Nice to have
- Exposure to CoreML or light on-device machine learning
- Familiarity with feature flags or remote configuration systems
