You will serve as the sole owner of ClassDojo's IT infrastructure, reporting directly to the CTO. The position involves managing identity, devices, security operations, and vendor relationships while leveraging AI to minimize manual work. You will inherit an automated system and are expected to enhance its efficiency and clarity.
What you'll do
- Manage employee identity lifecycle via Okta, Google Workspace, and HRIS integrations
- Oversee Mac MDM fleet ensuring near-total coverage and passwordless authentication
- Handle end-to-end IT operations including onboarding, offboarding, and support
- Govern a SaaS stack of over 50 tools, managing budget and vendor relationships
- Implement governance for AI platforms like Claude and ChatGPT
- Maintain SOC 2 compliance with automated evidence collection
What you'll need
- Experience operating IT solo for companies with 200+ staff
- Proficiency with Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and HRIS-driven access
- Background managing production Mac fleets under MDM
- Daily use of AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude for automation
- Strong scripting and API skills for automating request categories
- Practical security judgment within a SOC 2 environment
- Ability to document processes and explain technical decisions clearly
- Reside in the US East or West Coast with travel ability to San Francisco
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS IAM Identity Center and Terraform
- Knowledge of config-as-code applied to identity providers
- Background in office buildouts or BYOD policy rollouts
- Experience supporting international contractors
- Familiarity with Windows and ChromeOS environments
