Join the IT Infrastructure team at Thumbtack to build and operate systems that support employees across the US. You will administer core SaaS platforms, manage identity access, and collaborate with security and engineering teams to ensure reliable infrastructure. The role focuses on end-to-end system ownership, from implementation to continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Administer Okta, Google Workspace, Atlassian, Slack, Claude, and GitHub
- Serve as escalation point for IT Support on complex technical issues
- Triage inbound infrastructure requests and scope SSO integrations
- Build automations using Okta Workflows, Jira, and Slack tools
- Manage data governance, security compliance, and least-privilege access
- Monitor system health and participate in on-call rotation for critical changes
What you'll need
- 5+ years of IT systems engineering in distributed enterprise environments
- Proven experience administering Okta, Google Workspace, and Atlassian
- History of managing infrastructure as code with Terraform or GitOps
- Proficiency in building automations via workflow tools
- Knowledge of IAM protocols like SAML, SCIM, LDAP, and OAuth2.0/OIDC
- Scripting skills in Python or Shell
- Understanding of security incident response and compliance practices
