Join Alivia Analytics as one of the first engineers in a new onshore team dedicated to stabilizing and supporting mature healthcare SaaS products. You will work on case management and fraud detection applications, ensuring reliability for payer customers while gradually improving the codebase. The focus is on pragmatic problem-solving, rapid context switching, and delivering high-quality fixes rather than building new products from scratch.
What you'll do
- Resolve bugs and triage support tickets across two main products
- Deliver contractually committed features and refactor modules
- Manage deployments and customer environment setups with SecOps
- Remediate security vulnerabilities within strict timelines
- Execute SQL queries and migrate data between customer environments
- Participate in blunt, standards-focused code reviews
- Improve configuration handling in the legacy platform over time
What you'll need
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Strong production Java skills with J2EE-era patterns
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and SPAs
- Fluent in SQL for querying and data structure management
- Background in enterprise or multi-tenant SaaS products
- Accustomed to enforced team standards and code reviews
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Available during US business hours
Nice to have
- Tomcat or similar application server configuration experience
- Front-end skills in Angular, TypeScript, or JavaScript
- Azure environment setup and deployment knowledge
- Familiarity with Snowflake data platforms
- Experience with CVE and security patch management
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools
- Exposure to JSP for legacy context
