Join the Data Security team at 1Password to safeguard the company's foundation by designing and maintaining cryptographic systems. You will build libraries, implement algorithms, and ensure security standards across client applications while working with a specialized team.
What you'll do
- Build cryptographic libraries for shared security-critical code
- Implement industry specifications and new algorithms into client apps
- Conduct code and design reviews for cryptographic hygiene
- Develop proof-of-concepts for new security features
- Assess and resolve security vulnerabilities across applications
- Collaborate with Design, Product, and Engineering teams
What you'll need
- 0-2+ years of software development experience
- Strong knowledge of security best practices and design patterns
- Basic understanding of modern cryptographic algorithms
- Experience with testing methodologies and debugging techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Adaptable to fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
Nice to have
- Experience implementing industry standards into new libraries
- Proficiency in Rust or Golang
- Demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages quickly
