You will lead the engineering efforts for one or more AI projects, ranging from building MVPs for startup founders to creating internal workflow tools. This position involves defining the technical stack, optimizing LLM interactions, and guiding products from concept to production.
As an early team member, you will also help shape the company culture, mentor other engineers, and participate in hiring. You will collaborate closely with product managers and designers to deliver solutions that address real-world problems.
What you'll do
- Architect the technical stack for AI initiatives
- Prompt engineer LLMs to solve specific problems
- Build MVPs for client startup projects
- Develop internal AI tools to improve workflows
- Mentor engineers and assist with hiring candidates
- Collaborate with product and design teams
What you'll need
- Proven experience shipping products with LLMs
- Knowledge of prompt engineering and RAG patterns
- Experience building evals for LLM products
- Ability to lead technical direction of products
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Nice to have
- Experience with Python or TypeScript backends
- Background in finetuning large language models
- Familiarity with AI coding tools like Cursor
- Active interest in new AI developments
