You will lead the design and deployment of advanced statistical and machine learning models for credit risk, pricing, and fraud detection. Operating at the intersection of technical execution and business strategy, you will partner with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into production applications.
This role requires setting standards for model development and acting as a technical mentor. You will ensure models are reliable and scalable while communicating complex technical concepts to stakeholders across the organization.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy ML models for credit risk, pricing, and fraud
- Lead end-to-end delivery from problem framing to monitoring
- Partner with Engineering and Product to integrate models
- Define standards for code quality and documentation
- Mentor team members and foster analytical rigor
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Build production ML pipelines and monitoring systems
What you'll need
- 8+ years of hands-on model development experience
- Expertise in Python, SQL, and Git
- Strong foundation in statistics and experimental design
- Experience deploying models on AWS or Sagemaker
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, or Statistics
- Excellent project management and communication skills
Nice to have
- Deep experience in fintech or lending credit risk models
- Experience with real-time models and decisioning engines
- Knowledge of workflow tools like Metaflow
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or Arize
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative field
