Join BJAK as a Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of complex products and raise the engineering bar. This hands-on leadership position requires designing scalable systems, writing code, and guiding other engineers through major initiatives.
You will balance architecture decisions with implementation, ensuring high quality and reliability while working closely with product and AI teams to ship features quickly.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution of major engineering initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure systems
- Remain hands-on with coding, prototyping, and debugging
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed and reliability
- Mentor engineers and strengthen team technical capabilities
- Review code and provide actionable feedback to peers
- Monitor production systems and resolve root causes of incidents
- Improve engineering tooling and automation for team velocity
What you'll need
- Strong background in building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects
- Strong system design skills for high-scale environments
- Willingness to remain hands-on with code and reviews
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly
- Strong product sense linking tech to business outcomes
