Doit is building AI-powered tools to help users manage spending, saving, and investing more effectively. As a Lead Engineer, you will take technical ownership of complex products, balancing architecture decisions with hands-on implementation.
You will guide engineering initiatives from concept to production, ensuring high standards for code quality, scalability, and reliability. This position requires close collaboration with product, design, and AI teams to ship high-quality features quickly.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution of major engineering initiatives
- Design scalable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, and infrastructure
- Remain hands-on through coding, prototyping, and debugging
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, and reliability
- Mentor engineers and strengthen technical capability across the team
- Review technical designs and provide actionable feedback to peers
- Monitor production systems and resolve root causes of incidents
- Improve engineering tooling and automation to increase team velocity
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production system experience
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects or teams
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale systems
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and code reviews
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly to others
- Strong product sense connecting tech decisions to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking full ownership
How you'll work
- Hybrid work model with at least 3 days in the local office per week
- Candidates must be based in or able to work from the advertised location
