Doit is building AI-powered tools to help users manage spending, saving, and investing more effectively. As a Lead Engineer, you will take technical ownership of complex products, balancing architecture decisions with hands-on implementation.
You will guide engineering initiatives from concept to production, ensuring high standards for code quality, scalability, and reliability. This position requires close collaboration with product, design, and AI teams in a distributed environment.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution for major products and features
- Design scalable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, and infrastructure
- Remain hands-on through coding, prototyping, and debugging
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, and reliability
- Review technical designs and provide actionable feedback to engineers
- Mentor team members to strengthen overall technical capability
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents to improve reliability
- Improve engineering tooling and automation to increase team velocity
What you'll need
- Strong background in building and shipping production software systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects or teams
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale applications
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and code reviews
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership of problems
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
