Join BJAK as a Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of complex products in the AI payments space. This position requires balancing high-level architecture decisions with hands-on coding, code reviews, and debugging. What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution for major products and features
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure systems
- Remain hands-on through coding, prototyping, and debugging
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed and reliability
- Mentor engineers and strengthen team technical capabilities
- Review code and provide actionable feedback to peers
- Monitor production systems and resolve incident root causes
- Improve engineering tooling and automation practices
What you'll need
- Strong background in building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Proven experience in technical leadership and project guidance
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and fast-paced changes
