You will take technical ownership of complex products, balancing architecture decisions with hands-on implementation. The role requires designing reliable systems across backend, frontend, and infrastructure while guiding the engineering team toward high-quality delivery.
Working with product, design, and AI teams, you will break down ambiguous problems into clear execution plans. You are expected to maintain high standards for code quality, security, and observability while improving development tooling and team velocity.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution of major engineering initiatives
- Design scalable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, and infrastructure
- Write code, prototype, review pull requests, and debug production issues
- Mentor engineers and strengthen technical capabilities across the team
- Identify architectural weaknesses and technical risks early
- Monitor production systems and resolve incident root causes
- Improve engineering tooling and automation to boost team velocity
What you'll need
- Significant experience building and shipping production software systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale environments
- Proven track record of leading major engineering projects or teams
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and debugging
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to cross-functional teams
- Strong product sense linking technical choices to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking full ownership
