As a Lead Engineer, you will balance architecture and implementation, designing scalable systems while remaining close to the code. You will guide other engineers, review technical designs, and solve difficult engineering problems to raise the team's technical bar.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution of major products and features
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and database systems
- Stay hands-on with coding, prototyping, and debugging
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed and reliability
- Mentor engineers and strengthen team technical capability
- Review code and provide actionable feedback to peers
- Monitor production systems and resolve root causes of incidents
- Improve engineering tooling and automation for team velocity
What you'll need
- Strong background in building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and reviews
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly
- Strong product sense connecting tech to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
