Join DOIT as a Lead Engineer to shape the architecture and execution of next-generation financial applications. You will balance high-level system design with hands-on coding, ensuring scalability and reliability across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
The team operates globally with a focus on making finance accessible through AI. You will collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to ship high-quality solutions while mentoring other engineers and improving development practices.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution of major engineering initiatives
- Design scalable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, and infrastructure
- Remain hands-on with coding, prototyping, and debugging production issues
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, and reliability
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the team
- Review code and designs to provide clear, actionable feedback
- Monitor production systems and resolve root causes of incidents
- Improve engineering tooling and automation to increase team velocity
What you'll need
- Strong background in building and shipping production software systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects or teams
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale environments
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and code reviews
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to cross-functional teams
- Strong product sense linking technical choices to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking full ownership
