As a Lead Engineer, you will balance architecture and implementation, guiding major initiatives from concept to production. You will raise the engineering bar by designing scalable systems, reviewing code, and mentoring peers while staying deeply involved in technical execution.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution for major products and engineering initiatives
- Design scalable and reliable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, and infrastructure
- Remain hands-on through coding, prototyping, debugging, and production support
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, and maintainability
- Mentor engineers and strengthen technical capabilities across the team
- Review technical designs and code to provide clear, actionable feedback
- Identify technical risks and architectural weaknesses before they escalate
- Collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to ship high-quality solutions
- Improve engineering tooling and automation to increase team velocity
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents to ensure reliability
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with experience shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Proven ability in system design and architecture for complex, high-scale systems
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and debugging complex issues
- Experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly and influence cross-team engineers
- Strong product sense connecting technical choices to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership from start to finish
- Strong judgment on when to move quickly versus when to invest in engineering depth
- Fluent English communication skills for global collaboration
