DoIT is reinventing personal finance by building AI-driven tools for spending, saving, and investing. As a Lead Engineer, you will drive major initiatives from idea to production, balancing architectural decisions with hands-on implementation. You will work closely with product, design, and AI teams to ship high-quality features while raising the engineering bar across the organization.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution of major products and engineering initiatives
- Design scalable and reliable systems across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
- Remain hands-on through coding, prototyping, and debugging production issues
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, and maintainability
- Mentor engineers and provide clear feedback on technical designs and code
- Identify technical risks and architectural weaknesses before they escalate
- Improve engineering tooling and automation to increase team velocity
- Monitor production systems and resolve root causes of incidents
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production system experience
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects or technical teams
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale systems
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and code reviews
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly to cross-functional teams
- Strong product sense connecting technical choices to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership end-to-end
