BJAK is expanding beyond insurance into spending, saving, and investing. You will collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to ship high-quality financial tools that help users manage their money effectively.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution for major engineering initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure systems
- Remain hands-on through coding, prototyping, and debugging
- Make architecture trade-offs balancing speed and reliability
- Mentor engineers and raise the team's technical bar
- Monitor production systems and resolve root causes of incidents
- Improve engineering tooling and automation for team velocity
What you'll need
- Strong background in building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking full ownership
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
- Willingness to stay hands-on with code and reviews
