As a Lead Engineer, you will take technical ownership of complex systems, guiding the team from idea to production. This position requires a leader who remains deeply involved in coding, code reviews, and solving difficult engineering problems while mentoring others.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution of major product initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and database systems
- Remain hands-on with coding, prototyping, and debugging
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed and reliability
- Mentor engineers and raise the team's technical bar
- Review code and provide actionable feedback to peers
- Monitor production systems and resolve root causes of incidents
- Collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to ship features
What you'll need
- Strong background in building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects
- Strong system design skills for high-scale applications
- Willingness to remain hands-on with code and reviews
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly
- Strong product sense connecting tech to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership
