Doit is reinventing personal finance by building tools for spending, saving, investing, and traveling. As a Lead Engineer, you will take technical ownership of complex systems, guiding the engineering bar while remaining hands-on with code and architecture.
You will work across backend, frontend, and infrastructure to solve difficult engineering problems. This role requires moving seamlessly between high-level design and practical execution, ensuring reliability and scalability in a fast-moving international environment.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution of major products and features
- Design scalable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, and infrastructure
- Stay hands-on with coding, prototyping, and debugging production issues
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, and reliability
- Mentor engineers and strengthen technical capability across the team
- Review technical designs and provide actionable feedback to peers
- Monitor production systems and resolve root causes of incidents
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production system experience
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infra
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects or teams
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale systems
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and code reviews
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to cross-functional teams
- Strong product sense connecting tech decisions to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking full ownership
