Join BJAK as a Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of complex systems and raise the engineering bar. You will design scalable solutions, write code, and guide the team from idea to production. This role requires moving seamlessly between high-level architecture and hands-on implementation.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution for major products and features
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure systems
- Stay hands-on by coding, prototyping, and debugging production issues
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed, reliability, and maintainability
- Mentor engineers and strengthen technical capabilities across the team
- Review technical designs and provide actionable feedback to peers
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents to improve reliability
What you'll need
- Strong background in building and shipping production software systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infra
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects or teams
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale applications
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and code reviews
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking full ownership
