Join DoIT as a Lead Engineer to shape the technical direction of their Travel FX app. You will take ownership of complex systems, guiding the team from initial design through to production while remaining deeply involved in coding and code reviews.
This position requires a leader who thrives in ambiguity and connects technical solutions to business outcomes. You will work with a distributed international team to build smart, accessible financial tools powered by AI.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution for major products and features
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and database systems
- Remain hands-on with coding, prototyping, and debugging
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed and reliability
- Mentor engineers and raise overall technical capability
- Review code and provide actionable feedback to the team
- Monitor production systems and resolve root causes of incidents
- Collaborate with product and AI teams to ship high-quality software
What you'll need
- Strong background in building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Proven experience in technical leadership and system design
- Willingness to stay hands-on with coding and reviews
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly
- Strong product sense linking tech to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking full ownership
- Fluent English communication skills for global collaboration
