DOIT is seeking a Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of complex products and raise the engineering bar. This hands-on leadership role requires designing scalable systems, writing code, and guiding engineers from idea to production. You will balance architecture decisions with implementation while working closely with product and AI teams.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution of major products and features
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure systems
- Remain hands-on through coding, prototyping, and debugging
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed and reliability
- Mentor engineers and strengthen team technical capability
- Review code and provide actionable feedback to peers
- Monitor production systems and resolve root causes of incidents
- Improve engineering tooling and automation for team velocity
What you'll need
- Strong background in building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects
- Strong system design skills for high-scale applications
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and reviews
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly
- Strong product sense connecting tech to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership
