Join DOIT as a Lead Engineer to redefine how people manage their finances through smart, accessible tools. You will take technical ownership of major initiatives, designing scalable systems while remaining hands-on with code. The role requires guiding other engineers and driving projects from concept to production in a distributed environment.
What you'll do
- Lead technical design and execution of major product features
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and database systems
- Write code, prototype, review peers, and debug production issues
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed and reliability
- Mentor engineers and raise the team's technical bar
- Identify technical risks and architectural weaknesses early
- Collaborate with product and AI teams to ship quality software
- Monitor production systems and resolve incident root causes
What you'll need
- Strong background building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects
- Strong system design skills for high-scale applications
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding and debugging
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly
- Strong product sense linking tech to business outcomes
- Comfortable working fast with ambiguity and ownership
