  • Design multi-cluster architectures to reduce failure blast radius
  • Automate upgrade cycles using blue/green or drift-based rotation
  • Drive phased migration of workloads to ARM64 Graviton instances
  • Configure Karpenter NodePools for price-performance optimization
  • Model compute economics including Savings Plans and Spot usage
  • Improve ingress, service mesh, and GitOps posture across clusters
  • Lead the TechPod and serve as primary contact for client leadership

What you'll need

  • 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles
  • 4+ years operating production Kubernetes at technical lead level
  • Deep experience with Amazon EKS at very large scale
  • Hands-on ownership of complex EKS version upgrades and rollbacks
  • Advanced production experience with Karpenter v1+
  • Strong understanding of EC2 instance families and network limits
  • Experience migrating production workloads to ARM64/Graviton
  • Proficiency with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps tools like Argo CD
  • Ability to script automation workflows in Python, Go, or Bash

Nice to have

  • Experience with high-traffic B2C platforms with sharp daily peaks
  • Background in designing cell-based or multi-cluster architectures
  • Expertise in running Spot capacity for stateful stream-processing
  • Knowledge of JVM tuning when moving to new instance generations
  • Experience with Bottlerocket or similar container-optimized OS
  • Background in building AI agents for infrastructure operations
  • Relevant certifications like CKA, CKS, or AWS Professional
