As BJAK scales its technology products, the company needs technical leaders to solve complex engineering challenges. The Lead Software Engineer will own the execution of major initiatives, balancing system design with active coding to raise the overall engineering bar.
You will collaborate with a distributed international team, turning ambiguous product requirements into clear technical solutions. The focus is on building reliable, high-scale infrastructure while mentoring other engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and database architectures
- Write code, prototype features, and conduct code reviews
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into technical execution plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong system design skills for complex, high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading projects from design to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
