As a Lead Software Engineer at BJAK, you will own the technical execution for major products and systems. You will design scalable architectures, write code, and guide engineering initiatives from concept to production while raising the overall engineering bar.
This position requires strong system design skills and the ability to make sound technical trade-offs. You will collaborate with distributed teams to solve complex problems and ensure reliability, security, and maintainability across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and database architectures
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
- Improve engineering quality through better testing and observability
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong system design skills for high-scale complex environments
- Proven track record of leading projects from design to production
- Strong coding abilities with a willingness to remain hands-on
- Fluent English communication skills for global collaboration
