Doit builds mobile-first financial tools used by millions in Southeast Asia, starting with insurance. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will own the technical execution for major systems while remaining deeply involved in coding and architecture.
You will collaborate with a distributed international team to solve complex engineering challenges. The position demands strong leadership skills to raise engineering standards and guide projects from concept to production.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Write code, review peers, and debug production issues directly
- Make architecture trade-offs balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product needs into clear technical plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong skills in system design for high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading projects from design to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
