Doit is reinventing personal finance through AI-driven tools for spending, saving, and investing. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will own the technical execution of major systems, balancing architecture decisions with hands-on development to support millions of users in Southeast Asia.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and engineering initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, database, and infrastructure systems
- Write code, conduct reviews, and solve production problems alongside the team
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, and cost
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into clear technical plans
- Improve engineering quality through better testing, security, and observability
- Mentor engineers and lead technically critical projects
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience with production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong skills in system design and architecture for high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding and prototyping
- Track record of leading major engineering projects from design to launch
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and influence team decisions
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration

- Experience scaling engineering teams or practices during significant growth
- Background operating across multiple products, markets, or countries
