As a Lead Software Engineer, you will own the technical execution for major products used by millions in Southeast Asia. This position combines high-level architecture decisions with active coding and mentoring.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major engineering initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, and infrastructure systems
- Write code, review peers, and solve production issues
- Make architecture trade-offs for speed and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product needs into technical plans
- Mentor engineers and raise overall code quality standards
What you'll need
- 7+ years building and shipping production software systems
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, APIs, or cloud infra
- Strong skills in system design for high-scale applications
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Proven track record leading projects from design to launch
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs under pressure
Nice to have
- Experience scaling teams or systems during significant growth
- Background working across multiple markets or countries
