As the Lead Software Engineer, you will own the engineering strategy across backend, mobile, and desktop platforms. You will shape the architecture to ensure high reliability for long-running workflows and persistent context.
What you'll do
- Own application engineering strategy across backend, mobile, and desktop
- Design reliable systems for AI workflows including state and orchestration
- Build APIs connecting AI systems to real-world product experiences
- Lead a small senior team through code reviews and mentorship
- Balance trade-offs across latency, reliability, cost, and security
- Establish production foundations like observability and monitoring
- Partner with ML leadership to ship robust product experiences
What you'll need
- Significant experience leading engineering for complex systems
- Strong hands-on background shipping backend systems in production
- Experience building AI-powered products or integrating LLMs
- Ability to make technical decisions with incomplete information
- Comfortable working across backend and client platforms
- Strong bias toward ownership and learning from usage
- High standards for code quality and engineering fundamentals
