This position focuses on adapting English content into Tibetan for a high-visibility literary project. You will preserve the original idealistic and reflective voice across subjects like philosophy, ethics, and science without deviating into original creative writing.
What you'll do
- Complete a paid sample transcreation during the selection process
- Adapt content across domains like biology, economics, and philosophy
- Preserve the author's distinct voice, tone, and register
- Maintain an idealistic and reflective style throughout the text
- Work strictly from source text without original creative deviation
What you'll need
- Native-level fluency and strong writing skills in Tibetan
- Experience in literary translation or transcreation
- Ability to adapt voice and tone rather than translate literally
- Familiarity with ethics, philosophy, and AI technology preferred
- Strong command of style appropriate for reflective prose
How you'll work
- Independent contractor role with no fixed hours
- Work when you want with no micromanaging or check-ins
- Not suitable as a full-time job or primary income source
- Requires minimum availability of 2 hours per day or 10 per week
- Contractors responsible for their own tax obligations
