You will manage the Professional Services team, overseeing customer implementations, integrations, and data migrations. Your goal is to replace ad-hoc processes with scalable systems, ensuring predictable delivery and clear boundaries between services, product, and engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Manage and coach Forward Deployed Engineers and Professional Services staff
- Oversee implementation projects from kickoff through go-live and stabilization
- Create repeatable playbooks, templates, and delivery workflows
- Define criteria for standard, custom, or productized work
- Guide technical discovery and solution design for complex deployments
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering on handoffs and scoping
- Serve as escalation point for high-risk customer projects
What you'll need
- 5+ years in Forward Deployed Engineering or similar technical customer-facing role
- 2+ years of people management or technical team leadership experience
- Experience delivering software implementations, integrations, or data migrations
- Strong project management skills including scope control and risk management
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup with evolving processes
Nice to have
- Experience leading Forward Deployed Engineers or Solutions Architects
- Background in municipal utilities, infrastructure, or GIS systems
- Familiarity with platforms like Cityworks, ArcGIS, or WinCan
- Experience building delivery playbooks and estimation models from scratch
- Technical fluency with APIs, databases, ETL workflows, and SFTP
