You will manage and grow the pre-sales Solutions Engineering team, focusing on hiring, ramping, and coaching staff. Acting as a bridge between the field and internal teams, you will refine playbooks for demos and proofs of concept while driving consistency across the organization.

The position requires close collaboration with Sales leadership to prioritize pipeline coverage and improve win rates. You will also synthesize customer feedback to inform product and engineering roadmaps, ensuring the platform meets enterprise needs.

What you'll do

  • Hire, ramp, and coach Solutions Engineers with regular feedback and mentorship
  • Partner with Sales leadership to plan resourcing and prioritize pipeline coverage
  • Join key discovery calls, demos, and POCs to model best practices
  • Build and refine playbooks for discovery, demos, and technical evaluations
  • Own team metrics such as POC win rates and demo conversion
  • Synthesize field feedback for Product and Engineering roadmap discussions
  • Represent the team in strategic executive-level customer conversations

What you'll need

  • 3+ years of pre-sales experience in BI or analytics software
  • 2-3+ years of team leadership and direct people management experience
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with the modern data stack
  • Proven track record leading technical discovery and POCs for enterprise accounts
  • Experience coaching, hiring, and developing technical talent
  • Exceptional communication skills for technical and executive audiences
  • Prior experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Comfort driving results in fast-paced Series A–D environments
