You will collaborate with project managers and typesetters to adapt visual elements, troubleshoot design issues, and maintain strict quality standards across multilingual projects.
What you'll do
- Manage DTP requirements for large enterprise accounts with bespoke needs
- Oversee account-level quality and ensure instructions are followed
- Collaborate with reviewers and project managers on final deliverables
- Conduct detailed QA checks against client guidelines and standards
- Resolve technical issues related to fonts, layout, and images
- Apply design and formatting to translated content for consistency
- Prepare files for translation in formats like InDesign and Word
- Localize visual elements such as graphs and charts for target regions
- Maintain organized version control records for document accuracy
- Convert file formats while preserving original layout fidelity
What you'll need
- At least five years of DTP experience in localization or LSP
- Strong expertise in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Proficiency with QuarkXPress, FrameMaker, and Microsoft Office
- Fluency in Chinese, either simplified or traditional script
- Keen eye for detail to spot minor differences in layout
- Experience creating and tracking DTP quality frameworks
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting design issues
- Degree or certification in Graphic Design or related field preferred
