Join a small, senior research team building vertical multimodal foundation models for hyper-realistic human generation. You will work end-to-end on training recipes, model architectures, and evaluation frameworks to turn research into scalable, product-integrated capabilities.
The team is advised by experts from Google DeepMind and backed by investors from OpenAI and Meta. You will collaborate closely with founders and other engineers to ensure research ships quickly to users.
What you'll do
- Implement and iterate on generative model architectures, losses, and sampling methods
- Own end-to-end training performance including throughput, memory, and stability
- Build experimentation loops with robust evaluations and ablation tools
- Develop VLMs for image and video captioning to improve data quality
- Partner with product teams to ship models under latency and cost constraints
- Create prototypes and demos to showcase model capabilities
What you'll need
- Strong Python and PyTorch skills with at least four years of experience
- Experience implementing and training deep learning models such as VLMs or LLMs
- Solid understanding of optimization dynamics and practical debugging
- Ability to drive projects end-to-end with minimal supervision
- Comfortable moving between research concepts and engineering implementation
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with diffusion or flow-based image/video generation
- Experience with distributed multi-node training and performance tuning
- Background in building evaluation frameworks with offline and human metrics
- Strong intuition for data quality and dataset labeling tradeoffs
- Publications in relevant fields are a plus but not required
