Join Actai to develop machine learning systems that power proactive applications for email, tasks, and workflows. You will build and improve ML components, fine-tune models, and handle production constraints like latency and cost.

The team values high talent density and independent execution. You will work closely with senior engineers and product teams to ship iterative improvements based on real user feedback.

What you'll do

  • Build and improve ML components for data, training, evaluation, and inference
  • Fine-tune and adapt models within larger production systems
  • Implement evaluation and testing to understand model behavior
  • Build and maintain data pipelines for real-world and synthetic data
  • Debug model issues, performance problems, and production incidents
  • Ship improvements iteratively based on real user feedback
  • Work under constraints regarding latency, cost, reliability, and safety

What you'll need

  • Strong foundations in machine learning and modern neural architectures
  • Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning, or deploying ML models
  • Comfortable writing production-quality code
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Capable of working through ambiguity with guidance
  • Bias toward shipping, iteration, and continuous improvement

Stack

  • Python
  • PyTorch
  • JAX
  • GPUs

Hiring process

  • Applications evaluated by technical team members
  • Three to four interviews maximum
  • Interviews conducted via virtual meetings or onsite
  • Prompt decision process after final interview
